These classes are Hatha Yoga where postures (asana), breathing (pranayama) and short meditation (dharana and dhyana) are practiced. In Hatha Yoga the postures help to stretch, tone and strengthen the body, whilst control of the breath, body movement and stability helps focus the mind. You will be encouraged to become inwardly aware of the body during Yoga practice and progressively you will discover the beauty of how Yoga can help develop and strengthen your mind, body and soul. Everyone is encouraged to work within their own limitations - to ensure this is possible props and aids may be used in class to help you get the most out of your practice in a safe and realistic manner.
